Auditing Skills in an IT Environment

In today's demanding business climate customers require the most exacting standards of product and service. More & more such demands are provided to Quality Management Standards, either recognised international standards, such as BS or ISO, or to internal company equivalents.
Through exercises and role-plays this course will equip you with the necessary skills to enable you to audit against such standards within your own organisation, in order to establish compliance for your products and services, or at your suppliers, to ensure compliance with goods and services supplied to you.
The course focuses on how to establish rapport with those to be audited, how to ensure that everyone understands the reason for the audit, how it will proceed and the responsibilities of all those involved. It teaches how to develop audit documentation, use effective questioning and listening techniques and how to write audit reports. These skills will help you to take control of an audit and gather the information you need to establish compliance or to highlight non-compliance. You will also learn how to defuse the frustration and anger that can accompany a fail, and how to end such an audit positively.
Whether you are auditing internally or externally, or are to be audited yourself, you will find that the course has something for you.

This course is available 'on demand' (minimum 2 students) for public presentations or for one-company, on-site presentations.
